
Barnaby McLaughlin graduated with honors from the University of Massachusetts School of Law in 2019. Mr. McLaughlin served on the editorial board of the University of Massachusetts Law Review and was one of the founding members of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, where he served as Secretary and Vice President. Prior to law school, Mr. McLaughlin earned his Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Rhode Island.
Mr. McLaughlin joined McElroy & Donaldson after graduating from law school where his work was primarily focused on public utilities and personal injury claims. Mr. McLaughlin later joined Cifra Dougan, LLP, where his work was focused on defense in various civil litigation matters including personal injury claims, employment discrimination claims, premises liability claims, and uninsured/underinsured insurance claims.
Mr. McLaughlin has taught Literature and Writing at the University of Rhode Island, Rhode Island College, and Johnson & Wales University.
Mr. McLaughlin has been invited to present his academic work at various colleges and universities including San Jose State University, M.I.T., and Harvard University.
