Earl Metcalf joined the firm in 2025 as a Partner. For more than forty years, Mr. Metcalf has represented insured and self-insured employers before the R. I. Workers’ Compensation Court and R. I. Supreme Court.  He graduated from Providence College (cum laude) before earning his Juris Doctor at Duquesne University School of Law. Recently he co-authored with Attorney Matthew Metcalf a chapter in “A Practical Guide To Worker’s’ Compensation In Rhode Island.”  A member of the R. I. Bar Association since 1977, he continues to represent some of Rhode Island’s largest self-insured employers in all types of workers’ compensation matters.

Mr. Metcalf is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island. His areas of expertise include Worker’s Compensation, Appellate Practice, General Casualty, Insurance Defense and Self-Insured Defense.
